The iCruise, organized every year in collaboration with the MIT international student society, is a three hour party cruise around the Boston harbor, aimed at providing Woodbridgers with an opportunity to meet international students from MIT and other schools around the Boston area.
We kicked off the 2011 iCruise with a small gathering of attendees in Pfoho and made our way to the harbor under pouring rain! The boat waited at the dock and was soon full of internationals, eager to party under the stars (or the rain). After swiftly attacking the buffet, we made our way to the (thankfully covered) deck of the boat, where loud beats were starting to shake things up. Two cash bars was all that was needed for the party to get going and soon MIT and Harvard internationals were getting to know each other through the best possible way: dancing!
The rain had stopped by the time we got back to the dock and we reluctantly left the boat
to look for a taxi. If you haven’t tried to catch a taxi at 2 am at the Boston Harbor, you
have know idea what a herculean task it is. Definitely worth it!
