Executive Board

Moni Anne Trac
Co-President

Moni Anne Trac is a rising senior in Leverett House (which is the best House on campus)! Moni is French-Cambodian, but she studied in Australia (you can tell by her beautiful accent). At Harvard she is pursuing a concentration in Economics with a secondary in Visual and Environmental Studies, but she is not only an incredible visual artist (she is very skilled with Photography and graphic design), she also plays the piano, sings wonderfully, and dances. During her time at Harvard, Moni has danced with the Asian American Dance Troup and the Breakers. There is just too much talent in this girl! Moni is also a member of Delta Gamma, one of the three sororities on campus, and she works with the Business Board of the Crimson – Harvard’s daily newspaper. Moni is probably one of the sweetest, most caring girls you will ever meet – she always has a smile on her face. She is approachable, fun, creative and simply a very lovable person. And she loves talking to people, so please feel free to just approach her and strike a conversation!

Cagla Gamze Seten
Co-President

Hi everyone, this is Gamze, a rising senior in Leverett House but originally from beautiful Istanbul, Turkey. She studies Neuropscyhology, and because she’s infatuated with French and Spanish and she is getting citations in these languages. She is also very involved with arts, especially theater and photography and hence is involved in many arts communities and organizations on campus. She also loves to dance (especially at Woodbridge parties) and sing but keeps them unprofessional. Gamze’s really kind, sweet and approachable and she loves to meet new people so don’t hesitate to contact her if you have any questions – about life, Harvard, boy/girl problems, FIP or anything else! She’ll give you good advice and probably some Turkish delights (yum!) accompanied with belly dancing music ;) And maybe she might even teach you how to belly dance. Maybe. Some of the things that Gamze likes include: cats, hiphop, purple, heart, chocolate-chip cookies, chocolate souffle, chocolate cake, and pure chocolate.

Ana Kotevska
Treasurer

Ana is a freshman hailing from Skopje, Macedonia. At Harvard, she lives in Wigglesworth Hall, located at the very edge of the Yard (inhabiting Ted Kennedy’s freshman room!). This is why she is often spotted jaywalking across Mass Ave in search of a place to get a good cup of coffee. Ana is spending her freshman year fully indulging in her “undecidedness” and exploring courses across different departments. As of late, she has developed an interest in Economics and Psychology, which she plans on further pursuing, alongside her appreciation for the German language. Apart from Woodbridge, Ana serves as an Associate Fundraising Director at the Fundraising Committee of Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business and a Counselor at the Mission Hill Afterschool Program. She is also a proud member of the Harvard South Slavic Society. Ana loves dining hall chats, 4am roommate conversations, as well as, class lectures and debates – so do not hesitate to talk to her about anything at any time!

Richard Saliba
Secretary

Richard comes from Lebanon where he’s always lived, and is currently a freshman living in Canaday (he absolutely loves its strategic location and his awesome single). He’s planning on getting a BS in Engineering Sciences, just like he’s always dreamed of studying. (Yes he’s one of those rare people who came to college knowing what they’re going to study and stuck to their original plans – so far at least). This means that he has a lot of Pset’s to work on and he’s always on the hunt for engaging GenEd’s. When he’s not working on his Pset’s, nagging about them or endlessly procrastinating, he’s mostly involved with HMUN and the social committee of Woodbridge. He’s loved Woodbridge ever since it was the family that bridged his transition during FIP, and he’s very eager to serve on the board. Being the secretary means that he mainly works with the co-presidents and the board members and not so much with the members of the society, but he’d love to meet all of you who he doesn’t already know.

Robert Krabek
Social Chair

Robert is a rising junior in Pforzheimer house. Quad Life! He is half-American, half-Hong Kong who grew up in Beijing, that city in China, but spent a year in Montreal learning French (but mainly partying) before coming to Harvard. He is a Neurobiology/MBB concentrator with a secondary field in Economics, all of which he decided on a whim leaving Annenberg and getting tired of saying “Undecided” when asked his concentration. Outside of academics he likes to play basketball, bass guitar and generally mess around with friends. He is on the ballroom dance team so he can teach you how to shake it and will be running all the raging Woodbridge parties as your social chair this year! If you have any input on social activities, questions or just want to talk or chill then give him a shout because he’d love to hear any new ideas that could be implemented and he’s very chill, approachable and fun dude (or he wouldn’t be social chair). He looks forward to meeting and partying with all the internationals this year because, you know, internationals are just cooler than the locals.

Ana Angelovska
Director of International Awareness & External Outreach

Ana Angelovska is from Skopje, Macedonia (another Macedonian, yes) and she is really excited to be your Director of International Awareness and External Outreach. Currently she is a sophomore in the beautiful Eliot House and is following a joint concentration in Social Anthropology and Hispanic studies. Hence she is very interested in the indigenous populations of South America and she spent the past summer in Peru pursuing those interests. This is her second year as a part of Woodbridge, and she loves being a part of the international community. Besides Woodbridge, she is also actively involved with the Harvard South Slavic Society (all you Balkan people give her a shoutout!), and is an “honorary” member of the Harvard Latin American Organization. When she is not busy with academic stuff, Ana loves exploring the beauty of Boston, going to concerts and making the most out of the weekend with her friends. She loves photography and movies, so feel free to talk to her about that (you can also do this in Spanish!)

Evgenija Stojchevska
Director of Publicity and Student Liaisons

Evgenija goes by Eva not only because it’s easier to pronounce but because no one with the exception of teachers and professors in her academic career has called her anything but Eva (yes, including her parents). Eva is from the capital of Macedonia – Skopje, but she spent a year in Sigourney, Iowa and considers this another honorary home. She plans on pursuing a concentration in Government, with a secondary in Psychology, and a citation in French. She currently lives in Canday, enjoying its spaciousness and strategic location. Aside from Woodbridge, outside the classroom Eva is involved with IOP (as a Member at Large and as an event coordinator for the Special Events Committee), HNMUN (Assistant Director), and the Harvard PSC. Eva loves traveling, Italian food, web comics, debate, graphic design, and talking about politics (especially international politics). Oh and the internet. She loves the internet. She promises she is way cooler than this description makes her sound and she loves getting to know many different people so talk to her! (Just do it).

Laila Kasuri
Director of Fundraising and Alumni Affairs

Laila is a junior, hailing from the historical city of Lahore, Pakistan. She is concentrating in Environmental Engineering with a particular interest in hydrology and oceanography. She loves the outdoors, and luckily for her, she has found a concentration that allows her to go on a number of exciting field trips! Her secondary is East Asian Studies, due to her love for everything Japanese, from the language to the cinema and literature to the food. While she has never actually been there, she hopes to work in a farm or Buddhist monastery in Japan after graduation and do something zen. Currently, she’s involved in a number of groups on campus – she’s co-President of the Pakistan Student Association, designer for the Crimson and an Environmental Engineering Rep. She’s also very much involved in Lowell House life, and takes part in the Lowell Poemical Society and just started the “un-official” Lowell Jane Austen Club. Join her for Thursday Lowell Tea’s (with monkey bread and yummy treats) or if you ever want to watch some BBC Period piece with some English Breakfast Tea!

Imane Karroumi
Director of International Freshman Affairs

Imane is a sophomore in Leverett House (the International House at Harvard) pursuing a concentration in government with a secondary in economics. Imane is from Morocco but spent the year between her junior and senior year of high school as an exchange student in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. She loved the weather (not true) and her time in the US (true) so much that she decided to come back to New England for college. Having grown up in a city that has both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean, she really appreciates being able to take walks by the Charles River whenever she feels like it. Outside the academic world at Harvard, Imane has mainly been involved with the Society of Arab Students and now Woodbridge. She loves football – the real kind (Forca Barca!) and tennis (Vamos Rafa!) but enjoyed playing IM (American) football freshman year as part of the Thayer Doomsayers team. Imane is especially excited to plan FIP 2012 and other fun activities for the incoming class of international freshmen!

Raja Ghawi
Technology Chair

Raja Ghawi is a freshman. He was born and raised in Homs, Syria and holds both Syrian and Lebanese citizenships. His grandfather was born in Egypt and one of his great-grandmothers was born in Argentina, which probably makes him more international than your average Woodbridger. He came to the United States for the first time last August right before FIP and meeting all the other internationals then was the best thing that happened to him at Harvard yet. Raja lives in Weld and is still undecided in regards to his concentration (he’s trying to decide between biomedical engineering, molecular and cellular biology and applied mathematics.) Outside the academic world, he serves as treasurer for the Society of Arab students and also both treasurer and secretary for the Harvard College Lebanese Club. He also tried rowing during his freshman fall, and, just like everyone else, quit after a month and a half.
